This calculator uses the Gregorian calendar (the international standard since 1582). The Julian calendar (used before) differed by up to 13 days — relevant only for very old historical dates. For religious calendars (Islamic Hijri, Hindu, Hebrew), the results may differ because those calendars use lunar months. Always specify which calendar system applies when dealing with religious or historical dates.
